A 2002 bible study book written by Christian pastor Rick Warren and published by Zondervan. The book offers readers a 40-day personal spiritual journey and presents what Warren says are God’s five purposes for human life on Earth: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission. The book is based on over 1,200 scriptural quotes and references and challenges the conventional definitions of these terms. The book has sold over 50 million copies and has been translated into 85 languages.
